Chicken Nanking, fillet chicken coated with shrimp mixture, then wrapped with beaten eggs and panir flour, fried until browned and cooked then served with a splash of oriental sauce. Taste appetizing right?
But there is something wrong in the process of making chicken nanking that happens a lot around us. Instead of maintaining the integrity of the processed meat when fried, it is not the responsibility of the cook or chef to include recycled paper that is coated in plastic in hot turbulent oil.
This is certainly very bad for human health because the plastic is melted and then mixed with hot oil and into food. In research conducted by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) the number of bacteria contained in recycled paper is 1.5 million colonies per gram.
Non-recycled paper-based food paper can be a solution, because it is good for consumers, food and the environment because it is biogradable and has safety standards.
